'Deliverers' had been my original idea for my FMP. However as I continued planning the project I discovered many complications and difficulties. I was having difficulties with completing my script, I found that it had a strong opening but quickly became weaker. As well as this, I struggled to find actors to fit the role of my characters. Travel was the main issue which caused me to rethink my idea, as I don't drive I wasn't sure how I would get my actors and the equipment to my required locations. After realising these issues I decided it would easier to rethink my idea. Emotions and colour were the two themes that I wanted to cover and explore in my FMP, so from that I started think of a new idea.
When thinking of the new idea for my FMP I thought it would be interesting to stick with the theme of emotion, but the emotions behind someone's thought process. From this I wanted to cover the way our brains will think of both positive and negatives when we are faced with a though decision and how most decision processes consist of us experiencing a variety of emotions. Next I had to come up with what decision my film would be focused on, when brain storming the first choices were unexpected pregnancy, breakup or a relative in a coma, though these were decent ideas, I knew I didn't want to do something which would seem cliché, I then decided that I could relate it to a situation which was affecting me at the time.
My FMP idea was inspired by my own life situation a few months back, I had my Grandma living with my family and I after her partner passed away, we then had to assist her in deciding whether she bought her own house or if she would move into a nursing home. It was difficult decision for her and our family as her mental and physical health wasn't strong, but we allowed her to make a decision and see how it went, she is happily living in her own home.

I paired up with another member of the class for my FMP, with her input and contribution we altered and finalised the idea. We then divided the pre-production work between us and were able to complete it quickly. We tried our best to split the practical work between us, my class mate decided she'd act and I took on the role of camera operator as it's what I'm strongest at. When it came to post production we both edited the project together, I mainly focused on cutting the clips down and ordering them whereas my classmate focused on the audio and adjusting the colour.
As our FMP is inspired by the indie film genre we decided that the cinematography would portray the narrative rather than dialogue. Our aim was to use over the shoulder shots to allow the viewer to feel as if they are following the protagonist through their journey, as well as this we wanted to use close up shots to make our film have stronger aesthetics. We then altered the colour of our shots so that they then represented the colour of the emotions the location was trying to portray.

During production was during our location recce to Kimmeridge Bay we decided to shoot the shots at the same time as we had perfect weather to reflect the emotion within this scene, however once we viewed them after the shoot we found that the shots were out of focus and extremely shaky, therefore we couldn't use them within our film. Another difficulty we faced was during the recording of our audio we found that the script wasn't long enough to cover the shots, we then adapted our script and we successful fitted the audio to our footage.
Overall if I was given the opportunity to do my FMP again I would have made myself stick to a schedule, therefore my pre-production, production and post-production could have been done more efficiently. As well as this, through having a schedule and being more organised I would have allowed myself time in case of any set backs within the production, if I needed to alter my idea I would have allowed myself time to sort them out.
