DJ
Verbal Techniques:
DJ's must address the listener, this is through starting the show with "Good morning listeners". It's important for them to use the word 'you' as much as possible as it breaks that boundary. Radio shows are very personal so it's very important for the presenter to build a connection with the listeners. Radio DJs cannot be fake, no one will want to listen to someone who they can't relate. It's important for them to talk like they normally would and about subjects which relate to the listeners. As a DJ it's important not to talk over any of the music, as it is seen as disrepectful.
Visual Techiques: as they're DJs they don't have to worry about representing themselves visually, what they can do is describe events which are happening in the studio.
