Fanta's previous adverts
Fanta's most recent and most popular form of advertising has been through the use of animation. The animated adverts feature a main protagonist holding or drinking the featured product, Fanta. Throughout the advert numerous different people try follow or chase the character to try and taste the drink.
These animated adverts are often 30 seconds long and are fast paced and colourful, the technique they use in the advert is self perception, for example, the main character in the advert is often a young adult this makes it more relatable and accepted by Fanta's target market. Another way in which the adverts appeal to their target is the use of music, the music which is played throughout the advert is upbeat and fits the pace and is similar to the music listened to by a majority of their target audience. In 2014 Fanta released an advert which was called #Fanta100, the advert showed multiple different teenagers doing lots of unique, fun things. The advert had a feel-good vibe and was very popular and successful among teenagers. We have decided to create something similar with our new advert, we want to try and create an advert which is fun and will make people want to buy Fanta for fun, we also want to try and use a hashtag to help spread the advert around more through social media.
